Families Who Train Together

  • Our family of seven began taking Taekwondo from Senior Master Moberly some time ago and it's what we look forward to through out the week. We've noticed our family's closer, play and laugh more, have better communication and in general get along better now. … We're better as a family since we've started and we're looking forward to the day that we all have earned our Black Belts together.

A great school to learn Tae Kwon Do and lifeskills. I started training here with my kids. Have continued training for the last 10 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which program is right for my child?

Children ages 4–6 start in ATA Tigers. Ages 7–12 train in Karate for Kids. Teens 13 and up join our Teen & Adult Taekwondo classes. If your child is on the border between two programs, we'll help you decide.

What is the difference between Karate for Kids and Taekwondo?

Karate for Kids is the name of ATA's kids program, but the art taught is traditional Songahm Taekwondo. The name simply reflects that many parents search for "karate."

Can parents and kids train together?

Yes. Many families train at Moberly's, and our teen and adult classes are open to parents whose children are also enrolled.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes. Private lessons are available by appointment. Call (859) 694-0598 to schedule.

Do you still offer summer camp or after-school care?

Not at our Lexington school. Our current programs are ATA Tigers, Karate for Kids, Teen & Adult Taekwondo and the Black Belt Club, with Krav Maga coming soon.
