Ask About Adult Classes

Start at Any Age, From Any Starting Point

We train every student to the best of their ability. Some adults walk in already fit; others have come to us 100 pounds overweight. Most start with limited flexibility. We've seen adults begin at age 65 and still earn their black belts.

You'll be treated as an individual and never compared to anyone else. Our instructors are with you every step of the way. All that's expected of you is a willingness to try.

Fitness: Speed and Power, Working Together

Taekwondo techniques are designed around how your body works. Power comes from the large muscles of the torso; speed comes from the fast, agile muscles of the arms and legs. As you progress, you learn to coordinate that speed and power and focus your whole body's strength into a small, hard striking surface, like the edge of the hand or the heel of the foot. The result is a workout that builds strength, flexibility, balance and cardio at the same time.

Self-Defense That Builds Real Confidence

When the speed and power you develop in Taekwondo are aimed at an attacker's vulnerable targets, the results can be remarkable. Taekwondo is especially effective for women, because it emphasizes natural strengths like leg power and teaches methods that work against a much larger opponent.

And once you know you can defend yourself, your confidence grows. Confidence alone is often enough to deter a potential attacker.

Self-Confidence You Can Feel Everywhere

Self-confidence doesn't come naturally to everyone, but it can be built. In Taekwondo, every new form, technique and belt is a goal you set and achieve. That steady progress builds a sense of discipline and confidence that carries into your career, your family and the rest of your life.
